Knuckleball has a resemblance of the 1990’s “Home Alone” film (where an 8-year-old Kevin -Macaulay Culkin- is left behind in his family home and defends it from two burglars in very creative ways). However, Knuckleball adds a twist of suspense and horror to their story; making it extra-saucy for thriller fans out there.
We were invited by the film’s director, Michael Peterson, to be part of the VFX team. A total of 370 shots were shared with us to enhance, clean and add effects to. These visual effects were incredibly challenging, since 70% of the film was intended to portray snow; from simple snow particles to big snow storms. We leaned on rotoscoping in order to create a fictional reality, working hard and deep. At the end, we made it possible thanks to our committed and talented team – brave warriors in this VFX battle.
